Dick Grayson: Batman by ~Unicorn-Knight

Inspired by Alex Ross’ work on redesigning the Batman costume for Dick Grayson (Robin/Nightwing), which incorporated the blue cowl and cape sometimes seen on Batman, and having the jumpsuit black, like Nightwing; so having the blue and black of Nightwing. Ross, however, had the basic yellow Batman belt and black and yellow Batman symbol.

I liked his thoughts on using elements of Nightwing’s costume in a Batman costume, but wanted to keep MORE of the Nightwing look.

Gorgeous artwork and I would have loved to see Dick in this style (as the reason Nightwing’s costume has blue in the first place is because Bruce’s classic Batman cowl was blue. [John Grayson’s trapeze costume is only a more recent reference BTW. Even though the collar on Disco-wing is reflective of a circus costume.])

[And more to the point, Alex Ross has some of the best ideas not only for uniforms but also storylines. DC should listen to such a genius more often.]
