“These Boots” With The Ladies Of The DCU (and Nancy Sinatra). This was done for The Line It Is Drawn’s “Song Lyrics Starring Comic Book Characters” theme. Legion of Doom, you have been put on notice!

I can’t talk about it. :) #hankman #boostergold #shazam #blackcanary #batgirl #redtornado #nightwing — RB Silva’s Studio
That’s a very interesting group of people. I can’t wait to find out what it’s for.

Hmm…

The bests of 2012 came first this year and it was a very nice list. But as we know there is the other side of the coin, the worsts. And this year there were some painful ones. To join me in my commiserating and raking over the coals I invited a few of my colleagues; my co-host on 3 Chicks Kelly Thompson, regular guest columnist Liz Pfeiffer, the blogger known as Ragnell, Lisa Fortuner, regular guest contributor and blogger Tim Hanley and Geek Mom, Corrina Lawson to help me make my list.
There was much commonality. Let’s start with the worst of the worst.
Wow, all this slap in the face to any sort of DC comic history, (how can they treat Diana like that!) real-world equality and we supposedly get two new female writers…one of whom is Gail Simone replacing Gail Simone for some reason.

Thanks DC! Really looking forward to yet another year of this DCnU shit.

Depends what you mean by “personally irritated”. I have a list of things that have given me a twitch in the past year, but I’ll narrow it down.

This is not Roy Harper:

(While we’re on the subject Dick and Roy are besties. Not Roy and Jason. Stop that reboot. I know it’s been a year but I’m still denying it.)

This is not my beautiful OTP:

This is not Dinah Laurel Lance.

This is not Koriand’r:

There is so much more, (like the lack of New Teen Titans in continuity that makes me so upset I could punch a hole in a wall,) but these are my biggest problems with what is within DC’s New 52.
Meanwhile, back at the Harbor of Justice…
I don’t even know.
I do:

(And yes I do cry because this existed sometimes because I was: a) Born Too Late and b) In The Wong Country.)
When one picture of Dinah Lance isn’t enough, you find six!
As always, Cliff Chiang is the artist behind ‘em.
Justice League of America vol.2 #13
“Don’t worry. I’ll be home in a few hours…”
Oh God…right in the OTP feels…

Speaking of getting lucky…If you’re a good boy, when we get home, I’ll let you pop my shoulder back into the socket.
(I miss these two so much…)
In the New 52, the Black Canary is all Dinah Lance except in name. It is revealed that one of the founders of the new Birds of Prey and owner of the Canary Cry now belongs to Golden Age B.C. Dinah Drake. Cast your vote for Dinah Lance, former chairperson of JLA, one of the greatest martial artists in the world, and mother figure & mentor to many heroes, to show that beloved characters are not interchangeable.
A vote for Dinah is also a vote for Barbara. Send a message that we do not condone the questionable move of removing one of the most prominent disabled characters in comics. We do not agree with the regression of Barbara to a mantle she had outgrown. Let it be known that we lament the erasure of Oracle, a mantle who is on Justice League-level, who did more good to more people than Batgirl ever did.
