I promised a competition and I deliver.

Up for grabs is this limited edition fan-art, by me, of beautiful Princess Koriand’r aka Starfire done in the style of her creator George Perez and printed on super-glossy paper so she’s all shimmery.

She’s the first of a series depicting all of the New Teen Titans that I will be show-casing and offering in limited edition prints on my new blog:

Naiad Art

But this one is not only number one, she is also hand-inked and those gold bolts are also hand painted by me in vintage gold ink. (The pens I used I inherited from my Grandfather.) So there will be only one of these hand-inked by me and the other 5 will be replicas.

The other characters will also have something special about them, but they will come at a price and this one I’m offering up for free!

So a few of you may know that my father has been diagnosed with bowel cancer, but I just got the bad news today that he also has liver cancer.

I’ve recently taken back up art because I’m between jobs and uni, I’ve had to move back in with my parents to help care for my Dad and I need a bit of income on the side. ‘

So this print will be up at Naiad and available from tomorrow because my Dad has always been my superhero. In my family all of my siblings are the practical sort like my Mother, but my Dad has always been the lover of art, literature and music like me, so I’ve always been very close with him and I really want to make his journey as comfortable as I can.

So on that note, I’m giving away this #01 piece in this contest:

I want to hear from you who is your favourite superhero and why. It can be a real person or someone from fiction.

First Prize is the hand inked #01 litho of Starfire.

Second Prize is print Number #06 of the same

And there is a special prize for Ms/Mr Congeniality. (The entry that is not the best but speaks volumes beyond that,) will receive the original sketch from this litho, as well as a sneak preview of the second Titan in this series: Donna Troy/Wonder Girl!
